Plantstop shutdowns

KVC has much experience with plant stops.

Plant stops are prepared at the office in Hoogezand. After the scope of work is known, all required spares are requested and quoted. By looking at maintenance records of the past it can be determined if hard parts need to be stocked. After the order for the stop has been received the spares are ordered. The planning will be talked through and the internal organisation will be adjusted if necessary.

When spare valves need to be prepared this will be done obviously in advance of the stop.

The time frame of a plant stop is very variable and relies very much on past repairs, brand and history of the valve. This makes it practically impossible to give a fixed figure for that. On average valves with no problems and need to be blasted and coated (Multiple layers), we use 3 days. If coating specs are OK delivery within a day is possible
